Shaykh Mohammed Al-Saadi
Shaykh Mohammed was born and raised in the United States and is a graduate of the Islamic seminary (ḥawzah) in Najaf, Iraq. He has a bachelor’s degree in Communications with a double emphasis in Electronic Media and Speech from the University of Michigan where he also minored in Philosophy and completed his Pre-Medical requirements.
Shaykh Mohammed Al-Saadi is the founder of Shield Families, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Muslims living in the West in starting, building, and sustaining devout families dedicated to the service of God through offering programs catering to the different stages of family development, with a primary focus on prevention.
While in the U.S., he resides in Dearborn Heights, MI where he continues his research, while also serving various communities, focusing on family and community development.
Dr. Ehsan Rangiha
Dr. Ehsan completed his BSc in Computer Science, MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design and further obtained a PhD in Business Process Management from City University London in 2016.
Additionally he obtained an MA focusing on ethics where he carried out a comparative analysis between various Western and Transcendental ethical philosophies with particular focus on the notion of ‘honesty’.
Dr. Ehsan has been a visiting lecturer at City University London for a number of years where he has published numerous academic papers and has supervised many MSc dissertations. He is also currently a manager in Service Management in a financial services firm based in Canary Wharf, London.
He is passionate about self-development, empowering individuals to reach their potential, enabling them to journey towards an ethical virtuous lifestyle and creating a positive impact in the society.
Haj Jalal Moughania
Haj Jalal Moughania is a lawyer, lecturer, and author. He has written and translated original works on Islam such as Grand Ayatollah M.S. Al-Hakeem’s ‘Marjaeya: A Candid Conversation’. He is the co-author of ‘The Pope Meets the Ayatollah: An Introduction to Shi’a Islam’. His most recent work is a historical narrative of the life of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, ‘Ali: The Elixir of Love’. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Mainstay Foundation. Moughania holds a doctorate in law.
Ustadhah Zahraa Hamka
Ustadhah Zahraa Hamka was born and raised in the United States. She received her Bachelor of Science from Wayne State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Mathematics, and is a graduate of the Islamic Seminary of Najaf, Iraq.
Outside of homeschooling her three boys, she offers lectures and classes to women in her hometown and abroad, while continuing her research in Islamic studies.
In 2021, she co-founded Shield Families, a non-profit organization aimed at the assistance and development of devout Muslim families, focusing primarily on prevention rather than treatment.
She currently resides in Dearborn Heights, MI with her husband and three boys.
Zahra Faisal Al-Alawi
Zahra has a background in Psychology, including an MSc in Psychology of Education. She has worked with children and young people in various Islamic institutions and is passionate about making a positive difference. She is also currently completing an MA in Islamic Studies.
She has worked as a SENCo in al-Sadiq and al-Zahra School and is teaching life skills at an online school called ASRA and is also teaching at the Dawn Foundation.
Reyhaneh Milani studied Arabic and Islamic at the International college of Islamic sciences. She is a primary school teacher and educator. She is also a youth mental health first aider and recently completed a mental health leadership programme.
Dr Kiran Nijabat
Dr Kiran Nijabat is a Consultant Child and adolescent psychiatrist and the founder and director of the Family Wellness Practice.
Dr Kiran graduated from Guys’, King’s and St.Thomas’ Medical school in 2008 and gained an Intercalated BSc in Management from Imperial Business School. She went on to train on the UCL core psychiatry training scheme and the Tavistock higher training scheme.
Kiran is passionate about mental wellness and uses her expertise to educate children, adolescents, their families and professionals through workshops and CPD accredited courses.
In the past 5 years, Kiran has led the Family Wellness Practice team and has developed and delivered ten CPD accredited mental health related courses covering a range of subjects, including mental wellness, building resilience, parenting, self harm and suicide prevention.
The Family Wellness Practice team have delivered bespoke mental health training and counselling to over 5000 staff parents and students across various sectors including schools, colleges, nurseries, orphanages, residential homes, charities, places of worship and hospital staff.
Dr Kiran is a regular key note speaker at mental health conferences and has received outstanding feedback both nationally and internationally for her work and strives to be at the forefront of mental health education.
Isra Altayar is a life coach, NLP practitioner, mentor and speaker. Her passion is to to empower people to unlock their superpower, become emotionally free and begin their unique journey of finding true purpose and giving the very best of themselves to the world. She believes everyone can reach happiness and fulfilment, but never fail to grow and challenge themselves on a personal and professional level at the same time.
Isra is a mother of 4 and a self-made entrepreneur coaching clients on a 1-2-1 bases. She has developed her own online courses and group coaching sessions to serve on a wider scale.
She believes in incorporating holistic methods, through growing the mind, body and soul as well as combining both religion and psychology wherever possible to help people transform their lives and achieve long term mindset shifts and success.
She has helped clients through building confidence, stress management, anxiety, depression, relationships and parenting challenges as well as career and business development.
Her online courses are:
1-“Ultimate you”: a course on discovering oneself, gaining emotional freedom and beginning to discover one’s purpose
2- Islamic spirituality: a short programme to understand our connection to Allah, our purpose and gaining peace and tawakul.
3- Mindful mums: a course and coaching group for mums to tackle the challenges of parenting and helping them give the best of themselves to their children by becoming more mindful.
Ibraheim Al Ansari
Ibraheim Al Ansari has completed his bachelors degree in Law at Brunel University London (LLB) and is currently studying his MA in Islamic Law at Middlesex University London through The Islamic College of London.
He has been reciting for the Ahlulbayt (as) from a very young age and started public speaking and orating in honour of the Holy Household (as) in 2017. He has also been teaching lessons at several centres and organisations to various age groups since 2014 covering a range of Islamic subjects and topics.
Hemzah AlMusawi is currently studying Pharmacy at university. He previously taught history and fiqh at the Al-Asr youth program and history as part of the Dawn Foundation Enlightenment course.
He is a co-founder of Al-Qasim Organisation which is a platform available for the youth to be able to connect with their community and take part in fun activities in an Islamic setting.
