Camp UK presents its first ever mini talent show at Camp UK 2026, putting young people on the centre stage, with the chance to showcase their unique talents, creativity, and confidence in front of a live audience!

The talent show welcomes up and coming public speakers, reciters, entertainers, and performers to share their passion and skills. 

Whether it’s your first time performing or you’ve already experienced the spotlight, this is your moment to express yourself, inspire others, and celebrate your talent in a fun, energetic, and supportive environment!

Participating criteria:

  • Open to both boys and girls 
  • Open to ages 5-16
  • Categories include, but are not limited to: public speaking, nasheed recitations, qur’an, dua, spoken word poetry.
  • Your talent need not be strictly religious, or fall under the above categories, as long as it falls within the boundaries of a respectful Islamic conduct. (e.g. simple magic tricks, comedy, tongue twisters, solving a rubik’s cube in record time, etc)

How it will work:

Step 1 – Application: Send in your audition video

Submit your application via the form below, along with a 1-2 min video or audio audition of your talent to Camp UK email or WhatsApp

Step 2 – Selection: wait for us to review

We will review all the auditions we received. 

From them, the 8–10 participants will be shortlisted to perform live at Camp. 

Successful applicants will be notified at least 3 weeks ahead of the event, to ensure enough time for you to prepare.

Step 3 – Performance: Talent show day

Selected participants will have the opportunity to take part in the Talent Show on day 5 of Camp, performing their talent live on stage, and receiving feedback from our judges.

Step 4 – There can only be one winner… (or 3)

Winners of the competition will be chosen through a combination of both the judges’ scores and audience voting, with awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. 

The 3 winners will be awarded with unique prizes worth over £500 collectively

    Talent show guidelines

    Brief: 

    This mini talent show is a vibrant platform for participants to showcase their unique talents, creativity, and skills before a live audience. Open to kids and teenagers, both male and female, the event welcomes up and coming lecturers, reciters, and other talented performers to build confidence and celebrate their passion in an exciting and supportive environment.

    • Lecturing/public speaking
    • Qur’an
    • Dua
    • Poetry
    • Anasheed
    • Other (non-religious talents) (please specify)
    1. Participants will be called out one by one, to perform in front of the audience. They will have a minute to introduce themselves, the talent they are performing and some context around their talent or skill.
    2. They will then be given 3-5 minutes to perform, followed by 5-7 mins of feedback from the judges.
    3. A top 3 will be chosen based on the score counted by the judges. Audiences can also take part in the vote.
    4. Awards ceremony takes place

    1. Females are free to recite poetry, lecture or perform other talents which fall within the boundaries of Islamic hijab and modesty (no melodious recitations permitted)
    1. Duration: 
    • Individual acts: 3–5 minutes
    • Group acts: 5–7 minutes

    Please note: Participants exceeding the time limit may be stopped by judges.

    •  Judge’s decisions are final

    All performances, clothing, language, and behavior should reflect:

    • Respect for Islamic values and etiquette
    • Modesty and good character
    • Inclusivity and encouragement
    • Positive entertainment suitable for all ages

    Top 3 winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd places) will be awarded with prizes:

    • First place: Ticket to Iraq (up to £400)
    • Second place: £200 amazon voucher
    • Third place: £100 off camp UK ticket next year

    The judges are there to provide fair and honest feedback while encouraging every participant to do their best. Judging any performance involves personal perspective, and scores may vary based on individual interpretation and criteria.
